Sri Lanka Tourism Concludes Australia and New Zealand Roadshow in Perth

Sri Lanka Tourism concluded its Australia and New Zealand roadshow in Perth, engaging over 85 travel agents and tour operators to promote the island.

Sri Lanka Tourism has concluded its Australia and New Zealand Roadshow Series in Perth, bringing together more than 85 Australian travel agents and tour operators for a programme focused on business engagement, networking and destination promotion.

The Perth programme marked the final stop of the roadshow series and provided an opportunity for Sri Lankan tourism representatives to strengthen relationships with Australian travel industry professionals while exploring new opportunities to increase visitor arrivals from Australia and New Zealand.

The event featured a series of business-to-business meetings, a press conference and destination presentations showcasing Sri Lanka’s diverse tourism offering. Travel professionals were introduced to experiences covering the island’s beaches, wildlife, scenic landscapes, cultural heritage, adventure activities and culinary attractions.

The programme also included cultural performances, content creator sessions and a question-and-answer segment, providing participants with opportunities to engage directly with Sri Lankan tourism representatives. The event concluded with a raffle draw and gala dinner.

The strong participation from the Australian travel trade highlighted the importance of direct engagement between destination representatives and travel professionals. Travel agents and tour operators play an important role in introducing destinations to potential visitors and developing holiday packages for international markets.

Through the roadshow series, Sri Lanka Tourism aimed to provide travel trade partners with updated knowledge of the country’s tourism experiences while strengthening cooperation with businesses responsible for promoting and selling Sri Lanka in Australia and New Zealand.

The Perth programme also served as an opportunity to communicate Sri Lanka’s readiness to welcome more visitors from the two markets. Continued engagement with travel industry partners is expected to support future promotional campaigns and create new opportunities for destination marketing.

With the completion of the Perth event, Sri Lanka Tourism has concluded its Australia and New Zealand Roadshow Series, laying the groundwork for continued cooperation with travel trade partners across both markets.

Sri Lanka’s combination of natural attractions, cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, adventure experiences and hospitality provides a broad tourism offering for international visitors. Continued promotion in established markets such as Australia and New Zealand remains part of the country’s efforts to expand its international tourism reach.
